ANGLING SUPERSTAR BRENT CHAPMAN JOINS PLANO/FRABILL PRO STAFF

2012 BASSMASTER ELITE SERIES ANGLER OF THE YEAR TO REPRESENT TWO OF THE OLDEST AND MOST-TRUSTED NAMES IN FISHING

Plano, IL (April 24, 2015) – Lake Quivera, Kansas angler, Brent Chapman is a popular man these days.  With nearly 100,000 likes on his Facebook page, a 2012 Bassmaster Elite Series Angler of the Year title, 13 Bassmaster Classic qualifications, four Bassmaster tournament wins, 32 top-ten finishes and $1.65 million in earnings under his belt, one might conclude the man would have an ego to match his resume.

Incorrect.

Like the high school prom king elected by his peers because he’s a genuinely swell guy who considers the needs of others alongside his own, Chapman’s popularity comes not only from what he has accomplished as a professional angler, but also from who he is – a driven and detail-oriented husband and father who successfully balances the demands of a professional fishing career with his love for family and passion for all things outdoors.

Unlike various other superstars who actively promote a public side of their celebrity and shield a private one, Chapman doesn’t separate the two in his social media presence.  “My roles as husband and father are the biggest parts of who I am,” says Chapman, whose Facebook page looks a lot like yours and mine – complete with day-to-day family posts and pics – but also including ample instances of angling insights and ingenuity.  “I share what’s genuine,” Chapman continues. “I believe people appreciate seeing that.”

Plano Synergy certainly does.  The parent company to the time-trusted Plano and Frabill tackle brands has recently added Chapman to their Pro Staff.

“Protecting passions is what we do at Plano,” says Plano Synergy Marketing and Pro Staff Coordinator, Justina Whalen, referring to the company’s focus on delivering the products that organize and protect outdoorspeople’s valuable gear.  “Our products help pros like Brent function at maximum efficiency, while also making it easier for average anglers to make the most of their precious time on the water with family or friends,” she adds.

“Brent is a fabulous fit to represent our brands, not only because of his tournament accomplishments or his exceptional work ethic, but also because he lives and breathes both the competition and recreational sides of fishing.”

Chapman, a self-described type-A personality whose formula for tournament success includes copious quantities of preparation, science, organization and efficiency, feels the love, too.

“All of the work and preparation that go into fishing a tournament is at risk when gear isn’t protected, organized and accessible,” says Chapman, who has used Plano and Frabill products to increase his angling efficiency and enjoyment since childhood.  “Whether I’m grinding the clock looking for an upgrade during the last 30 minutes of a tournament or spending a precious morning with my kids down at the pond, my Plano tackle storage products help make the most of every second on the water.”

As a key member of Plano’s extensive Pro Staff, Chapman will use and represent Plano products on the 2015 Bassmaster Elite Series tournament trail, as well as at various other events, including an appearance at the 2016 ICAST Show, July 15-17 in Orlando.  Additional promotional exposure for the Plano and Frabill brands will come from Chapman’s significant online presence including Facebook, Twitter, www.brentchapmanfishing.com, and his new web-based TV show, Pro Vs. Joe.
