CASHION FISHING RODS ‘END OF YEAR’ TEAM TOURNAMENT BASS FISHING
TRAIL QUALIFIER #7 RESULTS
Saturday October 10th, 2015 ~ Kerr Lake ~ Flemingtown Landing Wildlife Ramp

The Cashion Fishing Rods ‘End of Year’ Team Tournament Bass Fishing Trail Qualifier #7 at Kerr Lake was  very interesting and the results for the 27 teams were close. The weather reporters need to start being more
precise. They were somewhat wrong about the Henderson area at Kerr. Air temps ranged from 68 in the am to  59 in the pm and the water level was pulled down to about 303 from almost 305 two days before. Surface water
temps averaged 71 degrees. We had just a sprinkle of rain and the winds did blow 10 to 15 with gusts up to 20 at  times. Other than that, those that didn’t attend because of the weather reports, missed a great day of fishing!!!

Ryan Rigsbee & Bubba Haywood just barely won with 5 bass weighing 14.08 lbs to take 1st Place and 1st Place
TWT for a total of $1,320!

The 2nd Place Team of Keith Deal & Ricky Kenworthy missed 1st by .40 of a pound  with 5 bass weighing 13.69 lbs. They also won 2nd Place TWT & 1st Place Big Fish (4.83 lbs.) to take home a
total of $1,070. It was really close weights for the top 5 teams with only 1.90 lbs. separating 1st & 5th !!

94 bass were brought to the scales for a total of 217 pounds averaging 2.31 lbs. each. With the water dropping  most were caught flipping trees & bushes in shallow water with jigs & plastics. Some were caught a little deeper
off rock & grass with C-rigs. The bass were hanging very tight to the structure and most hits were reaction bites.

I want to thank Cashion Fishing Rods and all the anglers that participated. Our next tournament will be the final  qualifying event for the 2015 Cashion Fishing Rods ‘End of Year’ Team Tournament Bass Fishing Trail,
Saturday October 24th at Shearon Harris out of Cross Point Landing Wildlife Ramp. All the information on our  tournaments can be found
