Date:

CASHION FISHING RODS ‘END OF YEAR’ TEAM BASS FISHING TRAIL QUALIFIER #6
Saturday September 17th, 2016 ~ Falls Lake ~ Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp

Our 2nd biggest crowd of our final trail for the year, 38 teams, fished the Cashion Fishing Rods ‘End of Year’  Team Tournament Bass Fishing Trail Qualifier #6 at Falls Lake. The weather was really nice with winds light & variable, the air temps ranged from 69 to 81 and the water level was down a little at 250′. Surface water temps averaged 79 degrees! The water is starting to cool down at night and that is a good sign that the Fall fishing is going to be better!!

Mike Dinterman & Todd Sumner weighed in a nice bag of 5 bass weighing 16.96 lbs to take 1st Place and 1st Place TWT for a total of $1,596 in prize money!
Closely following the 1st place team and coming to the scales for 2nd Place was Mark Herndon, fishing without his regular partner Jay Garrard, presenting 5 bass weighing 16.78 lbs. Mark also won 2nd  place TWT and tied for 1st Place Big Fish (6.53 lbs.) to take home a total of $1,180. The 3rd Place Team of Rick Sossaman and Steve Upchurch (subbing for Doug Stallings) landed 5 bass weighing 15.59 lbs. and and won a total of $425.

90 bass were brought to the scales for a total of 261 pounds averaging 2.90 lbs. each. Most were caught on Carolina, Texas & Trick worm rigs, crankbaits & jig combos in 2 to 10 feet of water.

I want to thank Cashion Fishing Rods and all the anglers that participated. Our next tournament will be the 2016 Cashion Fishing Rods ‘End of Year’ Team Tournament Bass Fishing Trail Qualifier #7 , Saturday October 1st at Shearon Harris out of Cross Point Landing Wildlife Ramp.
