Ehrler, Thrift Neck and Neck
Get ready, bass-fishing fans. The final day of the 2014 Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Murray is going to be a shoot out.
California pro and former Cup champion Brent Ehrler has a slim 3-ounce lead over Chevy pro Bryan Thrift. Ehrler has a chance to become the first two-time Cup winner; Thrift, a past Angler of the Year, is looking for the only major FLW title he has yet to earn.
Unfortunately for these two superstars, they won’t be competing only against each other. The entire top five is separated by less than 3 pounds and includes Lake Murray locals Anthony Gagliardi and Casey Ashley. The top 10 includes three former Cup champions, two past Angler of the Year winners and two 2014 Walmart FLW Tour tournament winners.
Can you say stacked? The final day of competition has just about everything a fan could ask for in terms of star power and potential storylines.
Check back this evening for a complete report on the top five.
