PIEDMONT BASS CLASSICS $10,000 SPRING TEAM BASS TRAIL QUALIFIER #1 RESULTS
Sunday March 8th, 2015 ~ Shearon Harris ~ Cross Point Landing Wildlife Ramp

This tournament was the makeup for the February 28th event that was postponed due to the snow & icy weather that came down upon us in a right big way! We did get a break in the weather this day, but it was still cold in themorning but pretty nice towards days end.It was about 35 degrees that morning and around 55 that afternoon with very light winds. Water temps ranged from 40 to 47 depending on the area fished and water was muddy in certain areas after the rain earlier in the
week. Out of 56 teams fishing only 14 actually weighed in a bass. Water temps were just too cold to get a good bite with all the unstable weather we have had this year so far. It will get better, however.Somehow, Tony Woodard & Scott Smith stumbled across 2 bass weighing a total of 11.57 lbs. and they were the only team to weigh in 2 fish. This veteran team won 1st place and 1st place TWT for a total of $2,077 in prize
money. Dave Murdock & Tony Fofi took 2nd place with 1 fish weighing 9.46 lbs. They also won the Big Fish Award and 2nd Place TWT for a grand total of $1,777. 2nd Place Big Fish (8.37 lbs.) was caught by the team ofMike Sipple & Curtis Vaughn netting them $318 in prize money.Only 15 fish were weighed in for a total of 92 pounds for an average of 6.13 lbs. each. There were a few bass caught that could not be weighed in because of the slot limit rule on Harris.
I want to thank all the anglers that participated and all our sponsors that support this trail. Coming up Saturday March 21st will be the Hyco Lake Open and Sunday March 22nd will be the make-up Cashion Fishing Rods
Spring Team Bass Mini Trail Q#1 at Shearon Harris. The PBC Q#2 at Jordan Lake scheduled for March 14th was postponed and rescheduled for Sunday March 29th. This was the only date I could find that would work best
for our schedule due to all the tournaments in the area.
