MASSILLON, Ohio – As part of its overall involvement with BASS and the Bassmaster fishing tournaments, A.R.E. Accessories is proud to announce they will be the title sponsor for Elite Series rookie angler Adrian Avena, who at 25 years old, has built an impressive resume after only three years on the tournament trail. As the nation’s leading truck cap and tonneau cover manufacturer, A.R.E. knows fishermen are serious truck owners who value the ability to store their gear securely in their pickup bed, keeping it safe from the weather.  Thus, sponsoring up-and-coming fishermen, and continuing their partnering with Bassmaster, is a natural fit for the company.

“A.R.E. is very proud to sponsor Adrian, as his talents are already apparent.  We are confident he will be an excellent representative of our product line and we are looking forward to working with him,” said Andy Clutter, A.R.E. marketing manager. “A.R.E. is conducting a season-long contest that will enable one very lucky fishing enthusiast to win an all-expenses paid fishing trip with Adrian that’s sure to be an extremely memorable experience.”

A New Jersey native, Avena was already on the tennis team at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia when he discovered bass fishing. Gifted with natural athleticism, Avena studied the patterns and movements of bass in complex tidal fisheries, honing his skills as a saltwater angler. Tennis soon gave way to fishing, and upon graduating with a business degree, Avena took up fishing full time.   He now operates Jersey Boy Charters, a successful charter boat company in Cape May, N.J.  Avena is also making a mark in his fishing business by strategically employing electronics to locate far-ranging saltwater gamefish.

To support Avena on the Bassmaster tournament circuit, A.R.E. helped him build a customized pickup truck, featuring an A.R.E. Z-Series truck cap, with Rod Pods to transport Avena and his gear to the Elite Series tournament locations nationwide.  As part of its sponsorship, A.R.E.’s logo will be prominently featured on Avena’s boat and pickup, and will be emblazoned at the top location on his official jersey. Avena will make a personal appearance in A.R.E.’s booth at the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, Pa. and will also attend A.R.E.’s National Dealer Meeting this spring in Nashville.  The professional angler will also be included in A.R.E.’s advertisements and social media initiatives.

Since 1968, Bassmaster has been dedicated to creating a credible and honorable bass fishing tournament trail, and to improving the environment by uniting and amplifying the voices of anglers across the country. For more information, visit bassmaster.com.
