The 2016 Anna Point Marina/Fish Tales Youth Fishing Tournament was a huge success again this year. We had 56 young anglers from ages 3 to 17 show up. They were greeted with COOL AIR TEMPS & SUNNY SKIES.
The tournament was from 9am-1pm and they were fishing for the largest Bass, Crappie, Sunfish & Cat Fish in their age groups. The age groups were (3-9) (10-12) (13-17).
Each angler walked away from the event with a Lew’s Rod & Reel Combo and an event T-Shirt. The winners from each category in the three age group received trophies, an additional Lew’s Rod & Reel Combo and $20 cash. The Grand Champion received a trophy, Lew’s Rod & Reel Combo and an additional $20 cash!!!!!!!!
After the weigh in was concluded and the winners weights were being tabulated, the award ceremony took place. This year we were cut short by a very powerful cold front with high winds and torrential rain fall. Winds up to 40mph and 3 to 4 foot waves were crashing on the bulk head. Many anglers and their families took shelter in the pavilion while some went home. This is the reason we do not have many pictures this year.
