COFFEY AND COFFEY GRIND OUT WIN ON LAKE NORRIS

Morristown Marine Team Trail Invitational traveled to Lake Norris on March 25th for the 2nd tournament of the season. 243 Teams were on hand trying to win the $10,000.00 1st place. It was a beautiful Spring Morning with a little wind and unseasonably warm temperatures.
Bill Coffey (Maynardville, TN) and Eddie Coffey (Knoxville, TN) held off the 2nd place team with a weight of 17.61 receiving the 1st place check of $10,000.00 in addition to Highest Finishing Lowrance $500.00 for total winnings of $10,500.00.
2nd Place went to Charlie McConnell (Coeburn, VA) and Dean Cutshaw (Greeneville, TN) with 17.20 lbs. In addition to 2nd place winnings of $3500.00 the team also received 1st Highest Finishing Skeeter/Yamaha Gray Nationwide for $3500.00 and 2nd Highest Finishing Lowrance for an additional $500.00 totaling $7500.00 for the day.
3rd place went to Tyler Moberly (Berea, KY) and Christopher Howard (London, KY) with 16.98 lbs, a check for $2500.00.
4th place was John Smith (London, KY) and Tyler Faulkner (Corbin, KY) with 16.64 lbs and a check for $1500.00. They also received 2nd Highest Finishing Skeeter $2500.00 for a total of $4000.00
Finishing out the top 5 places was Adam Spivey (Jonesville, VA) and Jeff Green (Pennington Gap, VA) with 16.50 lbs. and a check for $1,000.00, in addition to 3rd Highest Finishing Skeeter $1500.00 for total winnings of $2500.00.

The Jeremy Gordon State Farm Big Largemouth Award went to Tim Wheelon and Jeff Knight with a 5.89 lb. Largemouth. They received a check for $1205.00 and (2) Rods valued at $200.00
The Jeremy Gordon State Farm Big Smallmouth Award went to Jimmy Taylor and Donnie Bittle with a 4.90 lb. Smallmouth. They received a check for $1205.00 and (2) Rods valued at $200.00.
The (2) Highest Finishing Gray Insurance Agency teams with insurance through Gray Insurance Agency/Nationwide Lafollette, TN were: Keith McDeerman / Von Dilbeck and Jim Byington / Allen White. Both teams received checks for $250.00
The (2) Highest Finishing teams with Lowrance Electronics received a check for $500.00. They were Bill Coffey / Eddie Coffey and Charlie McConnell / Dean Cutshaw.
Our next tournament will be April 8, 2017 on South Holston Lake out of Observation Knob Ramp. Signups will be taken starting Monday, April 3, 2017 at Morristown Marine. We will also be taking signups at Observation Knob on Friday April 7, 2017 from 11AM-6PM.
