When it comes to Rapala crankbaits, The G-Man is an O.G.
“I’ve got a bunch of Shad Raps I started collecting when I was 19,” says Gerald Swindle, 48, who joined Rapala’s pro team Jan. 1. “This young pro saw my collection and says, “You’re an O.G. when it comes to Shad Raps, G.’ I said ‘Yessir!’ A Shad Rap®, a DT®-6, a DT®-10 have always been stable baits of mine.”
And whether or not you’re of the era that knows “O.G.” means “original gangsta” – and that that’s a good thing – you surely know that Swindle, “The G-Man” to his fans, won Bassmaster’s 2016 Angler of the Year.
