EVINRUDE ANGLER WINS FLW HARRIS CHAIN OF LAKES EVENT

STURTEVANT, Wis., March 2, 2018 – BRP, a world leader in powersports, announced today Evinrude professional angler Chris Johnston won the Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) tournament held February 22-25, 2018 on the Harris Chain of Lakes, in Florida. Johnston, hailing from Ontario, earned his first FLW Tour win with a four-day total of 79 pounds, 6 ounces, taking home the $125,000 prize. In addition to Johnston, Evinrude anglers Glenn Brown and Anthony Gagliardi were also ranked in the top ten. Johnston now leads the 2018 Angler of the Year standings.

The total purse for the FLW Tour at the Harris Chain of Lakes presented by Lowrance was more than $930,000 with payouts given to the top 60 anglers in the Pro Division. The tournament was hosted by Lake County, Florida. The next event for FLW Tour anglers will be the FLW Tour at Lake Lanier presented by Ranger, March 8-11 in Gainesville, Georgia, hosted by Gainesville Convention & Visitors Bureau.
