Brian Gunn wins the Division 94 two-day Tournament on the Savannah River on May 5th & 6th.

Gunn, is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a 1st place win and earned a total of $576.00, in the American Fishing Tournament held on the Savannah River. Gunn weighed in ten bass, which weighed 20. Lbs.

2nd place went to John Main with four bass weighing 11.75 lbs.

3rd place went to Bradwell Sampey with eight bass weighing 11.25 lb.

At launch time the temperatures were in the high 50’s with heavy fog. The day continued with temperatures topping out in the upper 80’s, clear throughout the day one & sun and clouds on day two. Water temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

The winner Gunn reported catching most of his fish in the lakes. His baits of choice were soft plastics.

These anglers accrued valuable points toward the Divisional Angler of the Year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship.  In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.

The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points.
