| STURTEVANT, Wis., May 21, 2018 – Evinrude announced today that Team Evinrude professional angler Jason Lambert won the Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) Tour event presented by Costa Sunglasses on Kentucky Lake, held May 17th through 20th in Gilbertsville, Kentucky.
Lambert, hailing from Michie, Tennessee, finished with an astounding four-day total of 101 pounds, 9 ounces – 28 pounds ahead of second place finisher, Evinrude pro Scott Martin. A 28 pound lead is a new FLW Tour record. Lambert’s overall weight is also the most ever at Kentucky Lake (besting his record of 97 pounds, 2 ounces from 2016), and ranks 10th among all FLW Tour events.
“I know Kentucky Lake really well and it is a giant lake,” said Lambert. “I knew that to do well in this tournament, I would have to try a number of different spots. That’s where my Evinrude comes in. It sips gas and goes real fast, which is exactly what I needed to come out on top.”
