CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
Saturday June 16th, 2018 ~ Falls Lake ~ Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp
What a great day for the 78 teams fishing for the $10,000 1st place prize money in the 2018 PBC Academy Sports & Outdoors $10,000 Spring Team Bass Trail Championship at Falls Lake! Morning air temp was around 69 degrees thenwarmed up to 88 in the pm. Water temps averaged about 86 degrees. Winds were light all day! The lake level was right at 252 and water clarity was good. Bass were shallow in the morning and then moved out to around 6 to 12′ when the suncame up. After everyone was weighed in the polygraph was given. Then all the anglers were treated to hot dogs, chips and drinks! Then we gave away over $7,000 in door prizes thanks to our great sponsors!!! Then awarded the prizemoney & trophies! PBC had a great year and thanks to all that supported this great trail.
Dan Glosson & Scottie Morris topped the field weighing in 5 bass at 25.77 lbs. winning 1st Place and 1st Place TWT to
Sam & Matthew Jones took 2nd Place with 5 fish weighing 25.70 lbs. and won the 1st Place Big Fish (7.88 lbs.) to takehome $2,421 in winnings. The 3rd Place Team of Stephen Lasher & Chad Fara weighed in 5 at 22.54 lbs. and also won
the 2nd Place TWT to pocket $1,644. 2nd Place Big Fish was won by the 16th Place Team of Stewart Adams & ScottDunn (7.84 lbs.) netting them $583 in prize money!!
The 2018 PBC Academy Sports & Outdoors $10,000 Spring Team Bass Trail Points Champions belonged to the team of
257 fish were weighed in for a total of 800 pounds for an average of 3.11 lbs. each, a good average for Falls Lake evenwith a cold front that had moved in a few days before! Most of the fish were caught on Carolina & Texas worm rigs and crankbaits in anywhere from 2 to 12 feet of water. Warm weather is here so lookfor a morning shallow bite and then godeeper when the sun comes up! Don’t believe the naysayers…Falls Lake is doing just fine.
