Sam Dyal of Baxley, Ga endured the very hot day at Lake Sinclair on October 6, 2018 and took the win at the AFT D72 tournament.  Sam used plastics on a shaky head in shallow water to catch his 5-fish limit.  He had a 3.11 pounder to anchor his sack totaling 10.64 pounds.  Sam took home a nice First Place trophy and $738 cash for the win!

Mike Coursey caught most of his fish on top water but changed over to a big worm to land a 3.45 pounder. Mike won the trophy for Big Bass and $170 cash.  He also finished in Third Place with his 5-fish limit, and got another trophy and $197 additional cash.

Congratulations to the Top Ten:

The 34 anglers said conditions were tough.  The water temperature remains hot at about 84 degrees, and the sunny calm day soared to about 90 degrees.  We are all ready for some cooler weather!

After the awards of trophies and cash payouts, there were drawings for the anglers present.   Two $50 bills were won by Tony Wooten and Frank Burris.  Danny Taylor and Jeremiah Cook assisted with the tournament by checking boats and weighing fish.

The next tournament for D72 will be October 13, 2018 on Lake Oconee going out of Sugar Creek Marina.
