Sean Capes Takes the win for D72 on Oconee

Sean Capes of Sharpsburg, Ga takes the win on Lake Oconee for the AFT D72 tournament on November 24, 2018. Sean was using a small crankbait on rocks to catch his five-fish limit totaling 10.50-pounds.  Sean took home $579 cash and a first-place trophy for the best sack of the 23 anglers that braved the cold rainy day.

Tim Greene of Loganville, Ga followed closely with four-bass weighing 10.32-pounds, to win $346 and a second-place trophy. Tim secured his sack with a 4.43-pounder.

Tommy Graddy of Commerce, Ga brought five-bass to the scale with a total weight of 10.14-pounds to finish third place. Tommy won $115 and a trophy.

Darren Taylor of Lexington, Ga had a scale weight of 9.83-pounds to take home $86 for fourth place.

It was James Golden of Covington, Ga that won the trophy for Big Bass and $115 cash for a 7.0-pounder!  James said he caught it on a jig.

After the awarding of trophies and cash payouts, there were drawings for the anglers present.  Darren Taylor won a $50 gift card to Sugar Creek Marina, and a crisp $50 bill was won by Tim Greene.

Thanks to Danny Taylor for assisting with morning boat checks and weighing fish in the afternoon.

The next tournament for D72 will be December 1, 2018 on Lake Sinclair going out of Dennis Station.
