Tulsa, Okla. – Lowrance®, a world-leader in fishing electronics since 1957, dominated this weekend’s national tournament-fishing circuit as Lowrance Pro Jeremy Lawyer won the Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) Tour event at Grand Lake in Grove, Okla. and Jacob Powroznik won the Major League Fishing (MLF) Bass Pro Tour Stage Three event in Raleigh, N.C.
Lawyer won the FLW Tour event after tying South Africa’s Michael Matthee on the final day. The tiebreaker was the previous day’s standings, where Lawyer was in second place, giving him the edge over Matthee, and his first tour victory. Of the 30 boats competing at the FLW event, 22 used Lowrance HDS LIVE displays, including seven of the Top 10.
Lowrance anglers battled closely to claim the top four spots at the MLF’s Bass Pro Tour event. Powroznik finished with 20 fish for 63-pounds, 4-ounces to earn the champion’s trophy and the $100,000 first-place check. Lowrance anglers have won all three MLF Bass Pro Tour event this season with Jordan Lee winning Stage One in Kissimmee, Fla. and Edwin Evers taking the top spot at the Stage Two event in Conroe, Texas.
“The professional fishing tournaments this season have been thrilling,” said Leif Ottosson, CEO, Navico. “Everyone at Lowrance has been captivated by the live-stream coverage and weigh-ins. We are especially proud to see our Pro Team consistently finishing on top and look forward to the next big win.”
