Tulsa, Okla. – Lowrance®, a world-leader in fishing electronics since 1957, announced today, Lowrance Pro Brandon Cobb won the Bassmaster Elite event, held April 4-7 at Lake Hartwell in Anderson, South Carolina.
From Greenwood, SC about an hour away from Lake Hartwell, Cobb, took the lead on the first day of the event and carried his lead through to the end. He won his first Elite Series victory with a four-day weight of 72-pounds, 4-ounces, which earned him $100,000. Following Saturday’s cut to a field of 35 competitors, Lowrance HDS was installed on 20 boats – more than all other marine electronic brands combined. Lowrance also had four anglers in the Top 10.
The weekend’s event also saw Lowrance Pros Micah Frazier and Drew Cook place third and fourth, respectively. Cook’s finish puts him in first place for both the Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year and DICK’S Sporting Goods’ Rookie of the Year standings.
