What a beautiful day at Falls Lake!! The bass were hungry and biting very hard! They are getting their strength back after a tough spawn. Air temps ranged from 65 in the am to 84 in the pm and the winds blew from light and variable pretty much all day with surface water temps averaging 84 degrees! A great crowd of 56 boats fished in this PBC Academy
Sports & Outdoors $10K Spring Team Bass Trail Final Qualifier #7! The $10,000 Championship is coming up at Jordan Lake on June 15th!! Should be a good one with approximately 69 boats qualified!!!
The Father/Son team of Rick & Adam Ambrosini caught a big bag of 5 good bass weighing a total of 28.04 lbs (which included an 7.04 pounder) to take the 1st Place $1,132 in prize money! It was their 1st win with PBC and well deserved with all the time, practice and hard work they put in!! Congrats to some nice guys!!

The 2nd Place team of Todd Massey & Brandon Gray took home a good chunk of prize money by catching 5 bass weighing 26.12 lbs. and along with winning the 1st Place TWT they took home $1,785 in winnings. Paul Owens & Tyler Faggart took 3rd with 5 bass weighing 25.62 lbs. and also 2nd Place TWT to pocket $1,035. The 5th Place
Team of Nicholas Bryant & Dylan Higgins (23.48 lbs.) also won 1st Place Big Fish with a fat 8.70 lb. hawg and took home $1,161 in cash!! 2nd Place Big Fish (7.98 lbs.) was caught by the team of Thanos Tsoumbos & Mike Stephenson to win a nice pile of $324 in cash!! The money was spread around good today to some happy anglers!!
216 bass were brought to the scales and many of those weighed in the 5 to 8 lb. range! At least 9 of those weighed over 7 lbs.. Crankbaits, chatterbaits, worm rigs along with jigs & spinnerbaits in 10 to 12‘ of water seemed to be the lures of choice. A good number of fish were still caught in shallow water mostly on top water & flippin worms.
