Edwin Evers Claims Top Prize of $300,000 on Mississippi RIver
Tulsa, Okla. – Lowrance®, a world-leader in fishing electronics since 1957, solidified its domination of America’s tournament-fishing circuit as Lowrance Pro Edwin Evers won the 2019 Major League Fishing (MLF) REDCREST Championship Round, held on Sunday, August 25, on the upper Mississippi River in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He also won the Points Champion Title for 2019. Armed with Lowrance HDS LIVE displays, and the all-new, ultra-quiet Ghost Trolling Motor, Evers caught 64 bass weighing a total of 86-pounds, 10-ounces to secure his victory.

“What a great week,” said Evers. “I cannot believe that I am the REDCREST Champion. As the only competitor with a Ghost trolling motor, I’d have to say it was a huge advantage.”

Reliable, rugged and built to last, the new ultra-quiet Lowrance Ghost freshwater trolling motor (available to consumers later this year) helps anglers fish longer, run faster and get in closer without making a sound. Ghost has a brushless motor with the most thrust and the longest run time of any trolling motor on the market, plus other benefits including integrated Lowrance sonar options. The brushless motor emits no electromagnetic interference – giving anglers the clearest sonar views possible with zero onscreen interference. The combination of reliability, power, efficiency and quiet performance give the Ghost trolling motor a winning combination.

“Our Ghost trolling motor delivers unparalled performance and silent operation providing a clear advantage in any compeition,” said Knut Frostad Ottosson, CEO, Navico Group. “We’re thrilled to congratulate Edwin on his incredible victory.”
