Athens, Al – John Miller of Statesville, NC won the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour Division 14 tournament on Lake Norman in Mooresville, NC with five fish weighing 12.2 pounds held on 09/15/2019.
John Miller of Statesville, NC is one step closer to the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour National Championship with a first place win on Lake Norman this past weekend. Miller weighed in five bass, which weighed 12.2 pounds.
Second place went to Sam Gladden of Icard, NC with five bass weighing 8.6 pounds.
Third place went to Matt Stark of Mooresville, NC with 7.81 pounds.
At launch time the temperatures were in the low 70’s with partly cloudy skies and light variable winds.
The day’s conditions continued with mostly sunny skies throughout the day, and temperatures topping out in the low 90’s. Water temperatures were in the mid 80’s.
The winning pattern came fishing a Muffin Top jig on isolated wood in the mid lake area.

Bass winner: Big bass honors went to John Miller of Statesville, NC who caught a 4.02 pound largemouth.

The Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler.
