Bassandfurious Is Our First Prize Pack Winner

The first Bassmaster Elite event is in the books and some are glad it is. The first two days were cancelled due to the high winds as safety is always number one with Bassmaster. The tournament finally got under way on Saturday with a full field of 88 anglers eager to put their first fish of the season in the livewell. Just as eager as the anglers we had 139 teams set, locked and ready for the event to blast off.

The first day was super slow and most teams were struggling as their anglers were not catching fish. At weigh in a lot of small bags came across the stage with a few exceptions. Day two most of us who were near the bottom were hoping for a complete flip of the score board and it seemed as if that was going to happened. Most watched the basstrakk on bassmaster.com and thought this would be the case. At weigh in they weighed in better quality fish with some bigger bags and a few from the bottom rose up to the top. Due to the weather cancelling days one and two, Bassmaster had changed the championship day from the top ten to the top 20. Again we all had hoped to see those giant St John’s River bass show up. Some anglers found them but still it was a tough body of water to fish. At the end of the day Paul Mueller topped the leaderboard and was crowned the winner. This helped Mr Adams Jr, aka Bassandfurious the event winner with 1297 pts.
