FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: BENTON, Ky. (Feb. 19, 2020) – FLW, the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, announced today a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Wiley X, one of the most trusted brands in the world for safety eyewear, high-performance sunglasses, and optical/protective sports eyewear for youth.

Effective immediately, Wiley X becomes the official sunglass provider of FLW and assumes title sponsorship of the FLW High School Fishing Camp, the ultimate summer camp for serious high school anglers, their parents, boat captains and coaches. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
In addition to the High School Fishing Camp, Wiley X has also been named the presenting sponsor of the new Major League Fishing (MLF) College Faceoff events. These events will give Abu Garcia College Fishing presented by YETI anglers the opportunity to compete against their peers using MLF’s exciting catch-weigh-immediate release format. The events will be held in conjunction with stops on the 2020 MLF Bass Pro Tour. Additional details on the MLF College Faceoff tournaments will be announced soon.

The Wiley X brand will receive exposure and have prominent presence across multiple FLW and Major League Fishing (MLF) platforms, including on-site signage and activation at FLW tournaments and Expos, Bass Fishing Magazine, social media promotions, FLWFishing.com, FLW Live on-the-water and weigh-in streams, MLF: All Angles, which analyzes each competition day from the viewpoint of the anglers in the event, and “FLW” television programming which airs on the Outdoor Channel and the Sportsman Channel.
Registration for the Wiley X High School Fishing Camp is now open. Taking place on July 22-25 on the beautiful Murray State University campus with daily activities on the shores of Kentucky Lake, students and coaches will receive instruction from top professionals and industry executives to take their fishing and fishing-career readiness to the next level.
