Amazon And Anglers Team Up For New Bassmaster YouTube Series

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Fishing fans will delve into the daily adventures of professional anglers on the new Amazon-sponsored series Zaldaingerous, presented by Bassmaster, premiering July 13 at 9:00 a.m. CST on the Bassmaster YouTube channel.

Each episode of Zaldaingerous lures fans into the exciting lives of Bassmaster Elite Series angler Chris Zaldain, and his wife, Trait, a pro on the Basspro.com Bassmaster Opens Series. Along with a transparent look into the Zaldain’s home life with their rescue dog, Nebo, hard-fought victories and heartbreaking defeats, the grind of the tournament season and exhilarating road trips, viewers will enjoy unprecedented insight into the outdoors, gear and fishing techniques.

“As a married couple fishing our own tournaments around the country, we have to split time following each other and focusing on our own events,” said Trait. “In our downtime, we find ourselves looking for new fishing experiences that don’t have anything to do with competition, tournaments or bass!”

“We hope people walk away from the show smiling and ready to get outdoors,” Chris added. “The whole goal is to show how beautiful the outdoors is and that anyone can experience a beautiful sunrise or sunset no matter where they live.”

Running July 13 through Dec. 14, each of the 12 bi-weekly episodes will be accompanied by a live YouTube chat hosted by Chris and Trait. Additionally, episodes will be available to stream on Amazon Prime and view on Amazon’s various social media platforms as well as the Zaldaingerous YouTube channel and Bassmaster.com.

In the first episode — “Desert Tripping” — the Zaldains head to the Wild West for fishing and fun in the deserts of Arizona, California and Nevada.

“Whether it’s a river flowing through a city, out on the coast or even in the desert, everyone has water close by, and we hope to showcase these great waterways,” said Trait.

Reflecting on shooting the series, Trait also shared the joy of sharing new places and experiences with their camera operator, Mack. “Seeing him light up — smiling — just like we did our first time to the desert and the other places around the country reminds us how amazing the road we are on really is!”

The series is part of a larger partnership between B.A.S.S. and Amazon, which will also feature custom-curated gift and gear guides for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts by the Bassmaster Magazine staff.

“We’re thrilled to help Amazon connect with enthusiastic Bassmaster.com readers and fans of sportfishing,” said Bruce Akin, B.A.S.S. CEO. “Amazon is the ideal partner to help grassroots anglers find the same gear their favorite pros use regardless of what waters they call home.”
