BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A new partnership between B.A.S.S. and CrewMinders will allow all anglers and event staff to complete daily health screening via a simple safety check platform, a process that will be implemented across the entire Bassmaster Tournament Trail. Self-screening via CrewMinders will be in place when the Bassmaster Elite Series heads to New York for back-to-back events beginning July 23 on the St. Lawrence River.

“While daily health screenings are mandatory for staff, anglers and venue personnel as part of the State of New York’s guidelines for professional sports, our goal is to ensure those associated with our tournaments across every level of competition — as well as in our host communities — remain healthy,” said Chase Anderson, B.A.S.S. Chairman. “CrewMinders has worked with our tournament team to create an easy and effective solution which adds another level of safety to Bassmaster events.”

The daily health questionnaire, delivered via text, allows everyone involved with the tournament to perform their safety screening before arriving at the fishery. This helps reduce instances where anglers, staff or visitors would potentially be congregated for on-site screening and ensures personal health information is kept private.

“Real-time communication about health and wellness is of paramount concern for businesses everywhere — now more so than ever,” said Rabun Lewis, CrewMinders General Manager. “CrewMinders users are able to deliver automated and targeted safety content that drives positive safety behaviors in employees and offers employers invaluable insight in a simple and private manner.”

The CrewMinders platform also enables event organizers to optimize widescale communication through customizable and rapidly deployable messaging tools, simplifying the processes for employee safety and awareness.

“Throughout our testing process, I have been really impressed with how easy it was for our team to set up CrewMinders to communicate with anyone attending our tournaments as well as how quickly it is to complete the health screening process,” commented Trip Weldon, Bassmaster Elite Series Tournament Director.
