Wow! That’s all I can say about an 81 boat field that showed up on Saturday. First thing I want to say is THANK YOU to each and everyone of y’all that came out and braved the cold to get the 2021 season started.
It was as cold as I’ve been blasting everyone off. ? I’m glad I didn’t have to take that ride down the lake Saturday morning. At the end of the day it was Mr. Philip Jarabeck that topped the 81 boat field with a bag weighing 17.29 pounds. Earning him $2525.00 for his efforts.
It didn’t go without a high level of stress tho! Mr. Jarabeck lead the tournament the whole time when one of the last teams to weigh in came to the scales. The team of Jenkins and Thornton had a bag weighing the exact same weight of 17.29 pounds. Yes a tie! ? Things got tense then! To break the tie we had to go back to each teams big fish. Mr. Jarabeck had a big fish weighing 4.29 pounds and the team of Jenkins and Thornton had a big fish weighing 4.19 pounds. 1 ounce was the difference between 1st and 2nd place. Don’t get any closer than that! I think the team of Daniel Jenkins and Logan Thornton learned a little lesson tho. They opted out on the TWT when they registered that morning. That cost them $400.00. ?♂️ After the amount of grief that I give them about that decision I doubt they will do that again! ? They still brought home $775.00 for their efforts tho. The team of Chuck Morton and Mike Riggs had a good day also. They came in 3rd place with a bag weighing 16.71 pounds. They also won Big Fish with a 6.75 pound Lunker and also winning 2nd place TWT. At the end of the day they went home with $1855.00 . The team of Ross Oliver and his son Ethan Larabee brought in a bag weighing 16.21 pounds. Getting them the 4th place spot and also winning Mr. Ethan Larabee the top placing kid in our Bobcats Bait and Tackle Kids Tournament.
They also opted out of the TWT costing them $250.00. Yep! I give them grief also! ( I actually enjoy it) ? They carried home $500.00 tho and Mr. Larabee won the Bobcats Bait and Tackle $50.00 gift card.. Mr. Pete Tuck won the Daves Tournament Tackle giveaway and my memory does it again as I can’t remember who won the $50.00 Bass Pro Shops gift card. If yall know who it was let me know please. Sorry about that! At the end of the day we payed out a total of $7560.00. Thats pretty good pay out for only a $90.00 entry fee that includes the big fish pot also.

We are back in action on April 3rd, 2021 at Falls Lake. Ledgerock Ramp. Thats going to be a slug fest!??? See yall there!
