September is a prime month to start searching for schoolers Topwaters of all types, swim baits, flukes and jerkbaits will all work. Either sitting on known schooling holes or riding and looking. When located get the bait in the water quick because they don’t usually stay up for long periods of time. Another pattern to look for is fishing brush you can throw most anything if they’re there it’ll work. It’s time for fish to start moving to back of some creeks. This is also the time they’ll suspend which will make the fishing tough
