Albermarle Sound/Roanoke River
Largemouth Bass update:
The fishing has been picking up in the River and adjoining creeks. Water temps are in the mid 60’s and warming up to the low 70’s mid day. Small Spinnerbaits in chartreuse or white with double colorado blades have been producing the bigger fish throughout the day. We have been mixing it up with a buzzbait ! Depending on the current flow in the river the mouths of creeks and current breaks are also hot spots to look. Baits of choice are shallow running crank baits and a slower approach when needed a 1/4 oz shakeyhead with a trick worm works well. I hope this helps you out in the future and looking forward to seeing you on the water. To experience the lower Roanoke and Albermarle Sound give me a call at 252-799-9536.
