The final event of the 2021 Bass Cast Tournament series came down to a matter of ounces.
When Tim Thurman and Thomas Jarrells weighed in 16.46#, they knew they had a good chance of taking home the win, and hoped their 5.20# largemouth would take the lunker prize as well. Nathan Reeves and Tink Burns dashed those lunker hopes with a 5.94# largemouth, along with a winning smallmouth lunker at 3.42#. Despite two lunkers in their bag, Reeves and Burns’ total weight of 16.43# landed them in second place. Third place went to Chad and Elliot Pilson with 13.74#.
Congratulations are also in order for Mike Nichols and Mark Winn, who won our points championship by the closest margin in BassCast history – just 7 points. They will receive a plaque and free entry into the Classic next month.
