Largemouth Bass update:
Happy New Year fishing friends! The fish have been eating very good We’re about to experience some of the cold weather fishing that I love, not many people crowding the places I like to fish. Even better the fish bite what I like to throw. Light winds red clay and gravel banks are key to throwing Crankbaits, jerk baits, jigs, drop shot and even shakeyheads. Look for a couple days warming trend and sometimes just a couple days of sun without wind the big girls will start to move to banks. If the banks aren’t productive you may try a deeper looking for bait and dropping spoons and silver buddies vertically through the bait ball. Look for places the deep water hits close to the shallow banks with bait if you can find them. Remember hypothermia is serious in the current water temperatures. Be safe wear your life jackets. Good luck in the new year and good fishing!
