BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Fishing fans can spend their winter weekends with the world’s best anglers as FS1 begins airing highlight shows from the 2021 Bassmaster Elite Series and Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic presented by Huk and previews the upcoming events. The shows are the ideal opportunity to meet the Elites and learn more about sportfishing in the run-up to the first tournament and live broadcasts of the 2022 season.
After a successful first season where nearly 14 million viewers watched Bassmaster LIVE programming, once more all nine 2022 Elite events and the storied Bassmaster Classic will feature live television coverage on the FOX Sports platforms. Beginning with the AFTCO Bassmaster Elite Feb. 10-13 on Florida’s famed St. Johns River, fishing fans can tune in for live, on-the-water action on tournament Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Upcoming episodes will feature highlights of the 2021 season as well as an in-depth look at Seth Feider, who notched four Top 10s en route to winning 2021 Angler of the Year honors, and Josh Stracner, who had to climb over four other anglers in the final event on the St. Lawrence River to win Rookie of the Year. Among the moments viewers can relive — or experience for the first time — is Lee Livesay’s Lake Fork victory featuring a whopping four-day total of 112 pounds, 5 ounces that was capped by a final-day catch of five bass weighing 42-3. A captivated audience watched more than 51.4 million minutes of live tournament coverage as the Elite at Lake Fork produced three lead changes and two anglers caught over 100 pounds.
Avid fans can also join the Bassmaster LIVE team beginning January 22 to preview the exciting new season and upcoming Bassmaster Classic.
Highlight shows will run throughout January and February on both FS1 and FS2. For a complete schedule, visit Bassmaster.com/tv-schedule.
