B.A.S.S. adds new EVP of Sales & Business Development

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — B.A.S.S., the preeminent name in sportfishing, is pleased to announce the addition of Phillip Johnson as Executive Vice President of Sales & Business Development. Johnson brings 25 years of experience in sales and operations management, business leadership, client relations, strategic planning and new growth market identification to the organization.

Johnson spent 15 years with Anderson Merchandisers, a leading provider of in-store service and sales solutions. Johnson rose through the ranks as Field Execution Director, Senior Program Manager and Divisional Director. Most recently, he served as the Vice President, Walmart Account Executive, where he led the company’s rapidly growing Special Projects Division.

“We are excited to welcome Phillip to the B.A.S.S. team,” said Chase Anderson, CEO of B.A.S.S. “I’ve personally had the pleasure of working with Phillip previously and look forward to the strong work ethic, strategic vision and leadership he will bring to supporting our members, sponsors and associates, strengthening our processes and expanding the Bassmaster brand.”

In addition to sales and business development, Johnson will also oversee marketing, licensing, events, communications and membership.
