Tournament #1 on 2/3/2024
( RESULTS & FULL STORY)

👇

We kicked off the 2024 season last Saturday at Hyco Lake with the NC MARINE HYCO TRAIL.
We had 26 teams show up Saturday for tournament #1 of the 5 tournament series. Weather was pretty good but of course a little cold front moved in on Friday night and brought blue bird skys for Saturday.
Fishing was kinda of tough for most but like always there will be some guys to get them figured out.
Weights were tight at the top. Top 3 separated by just over 3 ounces. When it was all said and done for it was the team of Johnny Wilder ( AKA BIG FISH JOHNNY)& Mike Harris that came out on top to WIN the first event for the Hyco Trail. They brought in a 5 fish limit  weighing 15.59 pounds with a 7 pounder earning them a total of $1025.00 with TWT. Them guys are hard to beat anytime but when they go to the dirt look out because they’re going to crank em out!! BIG CONGRATULATIONS to them on the WIN!!

The 2nd place team missing the win by only 1 ounce was the team of James Adkins & Ezra Johnson. They had a 5 fish limit weighing 15.49 pounds with an 8.13 pounder. That earned the a total of $400.00 They missed out on the 2nd place TWT money by not getting in it and of course I had to give them a little grief about it.

🤷‍♂️
😂

3rd place was the team of Buck Clark & Brandon Stewart. They had a 5 fish limit weighing 15.28 pounds with an 8.70 pounder that also won them BIG FISH for the tournament. They also won the 2nd place TWT earning them a total of $660.00 for the day.

The winners of the CAYMAS/NC MARINE money!
Top finishing Caymus was the team of Jeff Staton & Logan Staton $300.00
2nd highest finishing Caymus was Aidan Fine $200.00
