It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Toby Keith, the beloved owner of Luck ‘E’ Strike Lure Company, after a battle with stomach cancer. Despite owning the company for a short time, his influence on both the music industry and bass fishing will be remembered and cherished forever.

In recent years, Luck ‘E’ Strike Lure Company faced significant business struggles. However, Keith’s determination and commitment to the sport of fishing motivated him to take on the challenge of revitalizing the brand. He shared, “I’ve got a house on a lake where they hold a lot of fishing tournaments, and I became friends with Jeff [Williams], who has built two big tackle brands. He reached out and told me Luck ‘E’ Strike was for sale, and he was as interested as I am in rebuilding it.”

Keith leaves behind his wife, Tricia, and three children, Shelley, Krystal and Stelen. His mother and two siblings survive him.
