Scottsboro, AL (October 9, 2024) – Unified Pros announced today the third addition to its Athlete Advisory Board, retired PGA Tour Professional, Brett Wetterich. The advisory board will consist of a representative from the NFL, MLB, NBA, PGA and the professional fishing world. Retired NFL defensive tackle, Bill Maas and retired MLB pitcher, Josh Beckett have previously been announced as board members.
Brett Wetterich played on The PGA Tour from 2000-2010 and led the Masters Tournament at the halfway point in 2007. Wetterich draws the connection between the sports of golf and fishing saying “It’s not hard to understand why so many pro golfers also love to fish. The pace, strategy and individual nature of both sports are very similar. Unified Pros will undoubtedly draw many professional golfers looking for a fun and productive way to spend their time off the course.”

Through collaborative partnerships with esteemed organizations such as the Major League Fishing Anglers Association (MLFAA), Bassmaster Professional Anglers, National Professional Fishing League (NPFL), NFL Professional Players Association (NFLPA), MLB Players Association (MLBPA), NBA Players Association (NBAPA), and Professional Golfers Association (PGA), Unified Pros aims to create Pro-Pro events that bring together professionals from various sports disciplines in unique and competitive formats. These events will offer major payouts to winners and serve as platforms to raise awareness for outdoor activities and conservation efforts.
