We kicked off a new Trail this year at Lake Gaston.
We have had the 1st and 2nd tournaments of the 5 Tournament series.
I’ve fallen a little behind and haven’t gotten to posting all of the results for the first 2 tournaments and I apologize.
Tournament #1 – 3/22/2025
We had 15 boats show up for the 1st Tournament of the trail. I was glad to hear my Tournament Director for the trail Mr. Harvey Reece’s voice that afternoon. It was a really Windy day and Gaston don’t play around when the wind gets to rocking. When it was all said and done it was the team of Harvey Reece & Mike Gunn that took home the WIN
.
They had a 5 fish limit weighing 20.26 pounds anchored by a 7.23 pound fish that also Won them Big Fish for the tournament. After all said and done they carried home $875.00
for the day. Great job guys!! No sure how to take my Tournament Director Winning the tournament tho. I know I ain’t good enough to win any of the tournaments I run.
They were followed by the Father / Son team of Richardson & Richardson with a 5 fish limit weighing 20.03 pounds. They took home $375.00 for the day.
Big Congratulations to all who finished in the money!
Tournament #2 – 3/30/2025
Again we had 15 boats show up for the 2nd tournament just like the 1st one. Weather was alot better for this one. I wasn’t sitting on the edge of my seat to hear from Mr. Harvey Reece to make sure everyone made it back ok.
After the weigh in concluded it was the team of John Edward’s and his son Carter Edward’s that brought home the WIN
They had a 5 fish limit weighing 17.30 pounds. That earned them a total of $760.00
. Great job guys as well!!
They were followed by the team of Scott & Scott. They had a 5 fish limit weighing 17.10 pounds anchored by a 5.20 pound fish that also won them Big Fish for the tournament. They carried home a total of $540.00 for the day. BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE TEAMS THAT PLACED IN BOTH TOURNAMENTS!!
Also want to Thank Tournament Director Harvey Reece on doing a great job running the tournaments.
The 3rd tournament of the trail will be on 4/13/2025
