Tournament #2 of the Foundations Xperts Kerr Trail is in the books.
We had the 2nd tournament of the 5 tournament series last Saturday. Boat numbers were down but that was to be ecspected with all of the thunderstorms through the night and into the early morning. The Good Lord Blessed us and stopped the rain about 30 minutes before blast off. Thank you Lord for that by the way!
With the weather turning into what most people was thinking was going to be a perfect day to catch a big bag the 17 boat field blasted off.
I will say this.The fish did bite. Problem was they was the wrong ones.The spotted bass was real hungry! But as it always happens there was a few teams that got a little something figured out and managed to catch a few good ones.
When it was all said and done it was the team of Keith-Lisa Johnson & Jason Bowman that topped the 17 boat field to take home the WIN.
They had a 5 fish limit weighing 14.13 pounds that was anchored by a 5.14 pound fish that also won them Big Fish for the tournament. They raked the pot and won it all totaling
$1070.00

They were followed by Daniel Jenkins fishing by himself with a 5 fish limit weighing 13 pounds. That earned him a total of $475.00 for the day. Good job Ol’ Buddy!
