We had our last divisional tournament of the CATT spring season on the Perquimans River today.
All I can say is it was one heck of an ending to the regular season. Today’s results determined our anglers of the year and if fishing tournaments were akin to a horse race this one was a photo finish guys. Three teams brought 23lb bags to the scales today!!!
Leading the way with 23.73lbs was Brandon Johnson and Eugene Foushee with the big fish of the day weighing in at 8lbs even. Today’s work earned them a total payday of $2510. Stay tuned for some details in the interview about how they got it done. Sounds like it was a good topwater bite this morning!
In a very close second place was the team of Kenneth Moore and Joseph Eure with 23.40 lbs taking home a $710 check.
The third-place finishers today were the father son team of Randy and Ryan Broughman who were sitting second in points heading into the last tournament. They threw A Hail Mary bag of river bass on the scales today totaling 23.31 lbs for a third-place finish and a $410 payday.
Michael Evans & Brain Meadows win the Tidewater Spring Points and will receive FREE entry at the Final. We will also pay point money to the top 3 teams in the points which will be awarded at the Tidewater Final!
The following teams rounded out the money winners today.

5th Tommy Banks and Patrick McMillan 16.44 lbs
6th Derek Goodman and Gary Debrito 15.83lbs
7th Wayne Hayes and Andy Morath 15.08 lbs
This tournament finishes up the regular season and we will have our championship on June 8th out of Pembroke creek. If you have fished at least one tournament in our division this year you are qualified to fish the championship on June 8th.
