I’m getting there, folks! I will be caught up posting all of these results this week.
We finished off the Kerr Trail on 6 /29/25 at Kerr Lake – Ivy Hill Boat Ramp.
Again, I want to start of by saying THANK YOU to everyone who fished with us this year in the Trail. We had some good turnouts for the most part, but the weather affected a couple of the events and resulted in lower numbers. I’m going to try and figure out a way to get all of these tournaments in next year before the heat gets to bad.
Most of all I want to THANK Mr. Randy Strickland, the owner of Foundations Xperts for sponsoring the trail again this year. Randy came on board as the sponsor the first year we decided to start the trail up and has been the sponsor ever since. Mr. Strickland is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and I am proud to call him my friend. The world needs alot more Randy’s in it because it would definitely make it a better place.
Now on to the tournament!
We had 15 boats show up for the screaming HOT last tournament of the trail. ( By the way I am DONE with this HEAT!!!)
I may not like the heat but there are two gentlemen that obviously love it.
I just got through talking about one of them.
Randy Strickland and Danny Wicker went ahead and put their stamp on the field as the KINGS OF THE HEAT TOURNAMENTS!!!
That’s right. They did it back to back. They Won
the last two tournaments of the year in the Trail.
They had a 3 fish limit weighing 10.65 pounds anchored by a 4.62 pound bass that also won Big Fish for the tournament. They carried home a total of $925.00 for the day.
CONGRATS again guys on a heck of a tournament and I salute yall for dealing with that heat and figuring them out.
By the way I fished that tournament and my fishing was so good that I was back in the truck with 0 fish and the A/C on with 2 hours remaining in the tournament.
They were followed by the team of Warren & Fox. They had a 3 fish limit weighing 8.68 pounds. That earned them a total of $375.00
for the day. Mr. Marty Warren is also a sponsor of ours in the main 5 Alive Team Trail. Good Job Guys on a tough day of fishing.
The 3rd place finishing team was the team of Jenkins & Parsley. They had a 3 fish limit weighing 8.24 pounds. That earned them a total of $125.00
As I said earlier, the Big Fish of the tournament was won by Strickland and Wicker as well. That earned them an extra $150.00
GREAT JOB to everyone who placed in the money!
POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP TIME!!
The 2025 – 5 Alive/ Foundations Xperts Kerr Trail Points Champions are Corey Herndon and Caleb Trueheart

They well deserved the Championship and they had a great season all year. It was fun to watch as Corey and Caleb batteled it out with family members Keith-Lisa Johnson and Jason Bowman. It all came down to 1 fish which in part equaled the 1 point they needed at the end of the 5 tournaments to take home the title. That’s right I said 1 point. That was the difference between 1st and 2nd place in the Points Championship.
I tried to get Keith to precent Corey and Caleb the plaques but he just won’t having no part of it.
Corey and Caleb took home $ $1000.00, the Points Champions Plaques and a whole lot of Bragging rights if you know what I mean. Lol!
AWESOME JOB Coey and Caleb and we’re proud to have yall as the 2025 Points Champions!
Want to Thank Donnie Wyatt , Dylan Gee and Matt Tuttle for stepping in and handling a few of the tournaments in the trail this year. Thank Yall!
Looking forward to next year and we hope to see yall there!
