49 teams showed up for the last divisional in the CATT Tidewater on the Chowan River this morning with hopes and dreams of big 5 fish limits. The weather certainly cooperated with partly cloudy conditions and a small breeze that proved to help the fishing as the day went on. Teams reported mixed results with some teams having a good day, but many teams struggled to bring a five fish limit to the scales.
The Chowan River certainly made that dream come true for the team of Tony and Holden Northcott. The father/son team weighed in a monster sack of Chowan chunks weighing 28.06 lbs anchored by the big fish of the day weighing 6.93 lbs. Their victory earned them a $2970 payday!
Andrew George and Jordan Sanderlin brought an impressive 23.17lb sack to the scales for a second-place finish earning them a $875 check.
Another father/son team, Randy and Ryan Broughman plopped down 5 beautiful bass weighing 22.28lbs for a third-place finish.
That finish earned them a $525 check.
