Largemouth Bass/Smallmouth Bass
Bass fishing is hot right now with low water and high water temperatures. They’re moving out to deep water, and surface action on the lower end of the lake has been great. Some big fish are still shallow, as they always do in the summertime, and could be very vulnerable. Searching for deep water structure in the 8 to 20 foot range can be very productive any time of day and nighttime, typically slow-moving, with plastic or baits of choice jigs, drop shots, etc. Practice fish care during hot water months. Try keeping your water cool in your lives if you’re holding fish in a live Will and or return them to the water as soon as possible.
Striped Bass
Stripers are being found 30 to 50 foot live bait is very productive and surface. Feeding fish can be found early mornings or late evenings. The damn area can be productive at times when the fish decide to feed and can be more active when Powers being generated. Also, look for schools later in the morning, midday, and 30 to 50 foot of water, the mouse, a big large tributaries or larger creek arms, jigging would be baits of choice for these fish. Please release these fish as soon as possible in the warm water temps.
Crappie
Crappie will be found around larger docks and deep laydowns as they move into their summer patterns. Try small jigs and minnows.
