Largemouth Bass/Smallmouth Bass
Bass fishing has been good lately with fish being found offshore 15-20 ft and some fish still shallow. Target the deeper fish with slow moving baits like, Texas rigs, Jigs, drop shots, shakey head etc. Shallow fish would be soft plactics and topwater early in the morning. With all of the rain lately will still have not gained much in water levels but have moved fish shallow along with the baitfish. Look for baitfish to start their fall migrations later this month. Hopefully we get some good storm systems this fall to raise water levels.
Striped Bass
Stripers have been scattered all over the lake in large schools and big schools. They tend to be moving very fast in search of bait in the mouths of creeks for the deeper fish. Early mornings have been productive with smaller schools on rocky points in 20-30ft of water. They are more scattered but readily bite. Try jigging vertically with jig head minnows and Hopkins spoon can be productive along with larger ledge spoons.
Crappie
Crappie will be found around larger docks and deep laydowns as they move in to their summer patterns. Try small jigs and minnows.
