Finally got a pretty Spring day bringing a large crowd to fish the PBC Qualifer #4 at Falls Lake. Temps in the am  were around 55 and up to about 74 in the afternoon. The wind today was mostly light to variable with some midday
gusts around 15 to 20 mph. Water temps averaged 65. Most of the 88 teams said the bite was pretty shallow with some coming even in water up to 8 foot.
Chad Craven & Ben Cannon, veteran PBC anglers, smoked the field with 5 bass weighing a whopping 32.78 lbs. and took home $1,465 in winnings.
Eric & Jim Massey took 2nd place with 5 fish weighing 28.04 lbs. They also
won the 2nd place Big Fish Award (9.93 lbs.) bringing their winnings to $1,366. The 3rd place team of Stephen & Mike Lasher also won the 1st place TWT for a total of $2,140. The 4th place team of Kenneth Crespo with his
substitute partner, Vince Jones, also won 1st place Big Fish award (10.21 lbs.) and carried home a total of $1,804. The 5th place team of Glenn Elliott & Stump Bledsoe also won the 2nd place TWT bringing their cash winnings to $1,160. The prize money really got spread around giving quite a few teams a nice payday!!! 257 fish were weighed in for a total of 829 pounds for an average of 3.22 lbs. each. The bite was really good withmost all of the teams catching some bass. Most of the fish were caught on plastics, jig combos and spinnerbaits.I want to thank all the anglers that participated and all our sponsors that support this trail. Coming up April 18th will be the Cashion Fishing Rods Spring Team Bass Mini Trail Q#4 also at Falls Lake. .
