The 2016 Piedmont Bass Classics $10,000 Spring Team Bass Trail Qualifier #2 at Jordan Lake produced another  great turnout for the PBC Trails!!  The weather turned out great with air temps about 49 degrees in the am on up  to 54 in the pm. The predicted rain held off except for one little sprinkle. Water temps ranged from 62 to 67.  Winds were quiet in the am and blowing up to about 8 in the pm. A whopping total of 80 teams participated with  nearly all of them weighing in fish. Jordan will only get better in the next few weeks. Spring fishing is just about to  explode!!

Butch Trimmer & Don Boivin took their first ever win with PBC weighing in 5 bass at 28.24 lbs. for a total of  $1,344 in winnings. The team found a hot hole with 67 degree water early on and it was loaded with some nice bass which were busting top water lures at that location!

1st Place Team…Boivin on left…Trimmer on right
Seth Ellis & Jamey Caldwell took 2nd place with 5 fish weighing 27.47 lbs. They also won 1st Place TWT, 1st Place Big Fish (8.44 lbs.) and the Tow Boats US Membership Award for a grand total of $3,633.

2nd Place Team…Ellis on left…Caldwell not pictured

3rd Place Team,  Tony Fofi & Dave Murdock, had 5 weighing 26.81 lbs. and along with 2nd Place TWT, they took home $1,345!!
The 2nd Place Big Fish (8.20 lbs.) was caught by the team of Johnny Wilder & Mike Harris netting them $474.

290 fish were weighed in for a total of 1,079 pounds for an average of 3.72 lbs. each. Most of the fish were caught  on WLS shaky heads, crankbaits, Bass Alarm Buzz Baits, Shanes A-rigs, Sharp Shooter jigs and jerk baits in 8 foot of water or less. Water temps are very important now and bass are starting to bed in the shallower water.

I want to thank all the anglers that participated and all our sponsors that support this trail. Our next tournament is Saturday March 26th, the Piedmont Bass Classics Easter Open at Falls Lake out of Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp.
