Saturday September 14, 2019 saw 28 boats (53 anglers) compete for the top spots in the WLPCBS event #10. Great times had by all, including our awesome sponsors George & Deb Thomas of The Hook Pal who surprised us with their visit as they enjoyed seeing the winners collecting checks & trophies. Awards went out to the following: 1st place team of Wayne Doorman & Josh Hall cashed in big with a 5 fish limit weighing 20.58 lbs anchored with a nice 4.97 lber, taking home $1036.00 for their efforts and some nice hardware to go along with that check. 2nd place honors went to the team of Preston Cox & Larry Wollersheim with their 5 fish limit weighing in @ 17.92 lbs with a 5.00 lbs kicker, worth $636.00 for their work for the day. This team also pulled in some valuable points to get them right back in the hunt for the season championship run. 3rd place honors went to Dubby Carr & Erich Kunz with a 5 fish limit weighing 11.75 lbs and a check for $422.00. This is also their second consecutive 3 rd place win on the trail. 4th place went to James Graves & McKenzie Washington with 5 fish weighing in @ 11.70 lbs taking home $307.00. Glen & Mike Beachy rounded out the top 5 with their 5th place weight of 11.39 lbs for a 5 fish limit. Bill Deeds & Matt Seale sealed the Big Fish pot of $280.00 with a nice 5.21 lb catch. Congratulations to each of you for your awards, and continued thanks for your support of this amazing trail. It is sure to heat up this fall as we head to the James River on October 5th before returning to Lake Anna and Sturgeon Creek for the Fall classic and championship final on October 19th. Its going to be fun to watch the top 5 in this final stretch with what was a 32 point spread between teams 1&2 that is now down to just 15 points separating them with 2 events left..This is going to be an awesome final 2 events.
