Lance Collins Wins on Sinclair
On January 25, 2020, Lance Collins of Locust Grove, GA., wins the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour Division 72 tournament held on Sinclair on Saturday, January 25, 2020.
Lance Collins of Locust Grove, GA., brought an impressive five fish limit totaling 21.54 pounds to the scale.
Lance took home the first place trophy and $824.00 cash for the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour D72 held on Lake Sinclair.
He anchored his winning sack with a 6.77 pounder, and said he caught fish using a spinner bait and crank bait.
Jimmy Golden caught a 7.45 pound largemouth bass on a crank bait to win the trophy for Big Bass and the optional cash pot of $480.00.
This currently takes the lead for the end of season $100.00 prize that Director Benny Howell will give to the largest bass caught during the 2020 season for D72.
We had 48 anglers to participate in this tournament, and all fish caught were released alive.
The total payout was $2,352 to 7 places, plus the optional big bass pot of $480.00.
The weather was cold and partly sunny, and the lake was muddy to stained from recent rain.
Many bass over five pounds were caught, including a 7.07 pounder by Mike Blackshear, a 6.90 pounder by Carl Wilson, and a 6.63 pounder by Lee Harrison.

The owner and his son of TCH WaterSports, Chad and Connor Hudgins, brought 10 dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts and drinks to the weigh in. Sales and service personnel Jaimee and Connor were available to answer questions and offer information about TCH WaterSports located in Eatonton, Ga.
Director Benny Howell gave four $50.00 bills as draw prizes for the anglers present at the conclusion of the awards.The lucky winners were Aaron Batson, Jimmy Golden, Scott Jeffers, and Bob Clark.
The next tournament for D72 will be February 8, 2020 on Lake Oconee going out of Sugar Creek Marina.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional Angler of the Year (AOY) title.
The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers (ABA) Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour (BPSFT) Angler of The Year (AOY) Final Round at the BPSFT National Championship.
In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, BPSFT National Championship tournament.
The Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler.
All anglers fish for both money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the U.S. are invited to the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour (BPSFT) National Championship.
