Forestville, WI (December 22, 2022) – The National Professional Anglers Association (NPAA) 2023 Annual Conference rolls into Fort Myers, Florida, January 6 through 8, and the association’s members, as well as many others making a living in the recreational sportfishing industry, can’t wait to get the show on the road. The conference theme is “Controlling Your Own Destiny,” and it offers a chance to see, hear and learn how leading professionals do business while providing amazing networking opportunities, business-related educational seminars, and time to rub elbows and talk on a personal level with some of the top professional anglers, industry representatives and sportfishing leaders across the country.
Free livestreaming begins on Saturday, January 7 at 8:45 a.m. on the NPAA Facebook page and NPAA YouTube channel
“We’d really like to see you all in person at the conference,” says NPAA president, Patrick Neu, “but just in case you aren’t able to make it, we will livestream the presentations given by our featured speakers on Saturday, January 7th. The digital show kicks off at 9 a.m. Eastern time with legendary saltwater angler, Louisiana guide and Redfish Lodge owner, Mike Frenette, and continues right through Gerald Swindle’s, headline seminar at 1:15 p.m.That’s right, the “G-Man,” an NPAA member who has appeared in 20 Bassmaster Classics, twice been named Bassmaster’s Angler of the Year, broken the magical 100-pound tournament limit twice, and earned roughly $2.5 million in prize money in the process, will be spilling his secrets on how to not only survive, but to thrive in the recreational fishing industry. “He’s a no-nonsense motivational speaker that knows this community inside and out – and when he speaks, everybody listens,” says Neu. “This is going to be a tell-all you won’t want to miss.”
Indeed, it is. Along the way, you’ll also hear from the father/son pro angler team of Jason and Jay Przekurat, MLF Redcrest Champion Bobby Lane, and Chris Horton from the Congressional Sportsman’s Foundation (CSF) with a presentation focused on advocacy and getting involved in protecting our sport and our resources who will speak during the lunch session CSF has sponsored. Those attending in person will also hear from a myriad of other angling professionals from top guides to industry veterans, all sharing their knowledge in sessions throughout the weekend. The conference will also host a Benefit Banquet for the Future Angler Foundation (FAF), which introduces millions of potential new anglers and boaters each year to the thrill and fun of sportfishing and boating.
