Qualifier #4 Kerr Lake – Occoneechee Ramp
                               5/7/2020

The Good Lord Blessed us Saturday with another chance to do what we love. Thankfully the rain held off for us and as usual we had another cold front blow through on tournament day. I’m pretty sure I’m batting a 1000% for scheduling a tournament on a cold front.?‍♂️
We had 75 teams Saturday for our 4th Qualifier of the year. Kerr Lake was fishing a little tuff but as always someone’s going to figure them out and come out on top. When it was all said and done it was the team of Anthony Frances & Cody Backus that topped the field and brought home the WIN. They brought in a 5 fish limit weighing 17.85 pounds earning them a total of $2320.00 with T.W.T.  I’ve been watching these guys get better with every tournament for the last 2 years and the peices of the puzzle finally fell into place. Well deserved and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to them. They were followed closely by the team of Keith Wray & Tyler Purcell. They brought in a 5 fish limit weighing 17.57 pounds. Less than 3 ounces from the winning team.  I’d say that’s pretty close. That bag earned them a total of $1165.00 with T.W.T. Good job guys!
The team of Bowen and Clements won Big Fish with a bass weighing 5.44 pounds earning them a total of $1050.00 after combining there 5th place winnings with the big fish winnings for the day.?

Now to our Caswell Glass Heritage Trail.
We had 5 teams come out and fish our new trail Saturday. Three of the teams fished both trails. When it was all over with it was the team of Brandon Gray & Dannon Garber that took home the WIN.They brought in a 5 fish limit weighing 16.40 pounds. That bag also earned them 3rd place in the 5 Alive Trail.  Earning them two plaques, two Favorite Fishing rods and two $50.00 Bass Pro Shops gift cards donated bt Tarheel Flooring. It also earned them a total of $850.00 with T.W.T for finishing 3rd in the 5 Alive Trail. Them boys racked up! Big congratulations to them! Well deserved! They were followed by the points leaders of the Heritage Trail . The 2nd place finishing team of Ross Oliver & Ethan Larabee brought in a 5 fish limit weighing 15.82 pounds. That bag also earned them 4th place in the 5 Alive Trail. Earning them two Bobcats Bait and Tackle Gift Cards and $440 for their 4th place finish in the 5 Alive Trail. I told everyone at the end of the day that they better step it up because they getting whooped up on by the adult / kid teams.? We have had  a different winner for every tournament in the Heritage Trail and we love watching this Trail grow. We want to give a BIG  CONGRATULATIONS to all the teams that placed on Saturday and a BIG THANK YOU to everyone that came out and fished with us.

Our $50.00 Bass Pro Shops gift card giveaway winner was Keith Wray ( A.K.A. Fish Doctor)

Our Daves Tournament Tackle pack giveaway was Mr. Bailey.
Congrats Guys!

We have one more Qualifier left and we will be Crowning a new 5 Alive Team Trail Points Champion. Let me tell you it’s going to be a good one. The top 3 teams in points are separated by just 5 points and there are several more teams lurking around that have a chance to win it to. It’s going to be fun to watch!

Qualifier #5 will be at Falls Lake on 6/4/2022
Hope to see yall there!

The full finishing order for Saturday and up to date points standings will be post directly after this post.
