It was a tough bite today in the PBC Cashion Fishing Rods ‘End of Year’ Team Tournament Bass Fishing Trail  Qualifier #3 at Falls Lake. Most of the 36 boat field had a hard time finding 5 good bass but one team did find the right pattern and were lucky enough to land 5 big bass!! Surface water temps were around 86 degrees and the  weather was great, light wind and temps run from 69 to 88. Typical summer bite for the lakes around here.


Chad Craven & Ben Cannon took the honors with 5 bass weighing a whopping total of 30.22 lbs.to take 1st Place, 1st Place TWT and 1st Place Big Fish (7.03 lbs.) for a total of $2,086 in prize money!

The 2nd Place team of Todd Sumner & Mike Dinterman caught a good 5 fish limit of bass weighing 18.42 lbs.  and along with winning the 2nd Place TWT they took home $817 in winnings. The 3rd Place Team of Rock &  Eric Goss landed 5 bass weighing 17.63 lbs. taking home $432 in winnings. The Team of Thanos Tsoumbos & 
Mike Stephenson won 2nd Place Big Fish (6.78 lbs.) pocketing a total of $204!!! There were a good number of 4, 5 & 6 pounders caught today but putting 5 together was tough!!

101 bass were brought to the scales and most teams weighed fish! Worm rigs, jigs, crankbaits in 10′ to 12′ of water on channel dropoffs seemed to be the lures of choice.I want to thank Cashion Fishing Rods and all the anglers that participated.Our next tournament will be the PBC Cashion Fishing Rods ‘End of Year’ Team Tournament Bass Fishing Trail  Qualifier #4 at Jordan Lake, Saturday August 24th at Jordan Lake out of Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp.
