We got lucky on the weather again today! The rain stopped! The PBC Cashion Fishing Rods ‘End of Year’ Trail at Falls  Lake hosted 27 qualified teams today for the Championship. The wind was light and variable in the am and picked up to about 10mpg at noon! Water temps averaged about 67 degrees and the water level was about a foot above normal. Air temps were 49 to 67. We had a couple of good bags but for the most part the bite was hard to find! It was tough!!

The team of Dennis Reedy & Tommy Marrow won the Championship weighing in 5 bass at 16.97 lbs.and also won the TWT, Big Fish Award (5.43 lbs.) and 2 great Cashion Rods taking home a total of $3,638 in cash & prizes!! Reedy on left, Marrow on Rt.
The team of Thomas Sheffer & Ken McNeill came in 2nd place with 5 fish weighing 13.34 lbs. & also won 2nd Place Big Fish (4.34 lbs.) to pocket a total of $1,027. Rick Sossaman & Steve Upchurch took 3rd Place along with 2nd Place TWT and won $857 with 5 weighing 10.89 lbs.. Jay Fogleman & Roberts Perkins won the Points Championship taking home $1,010 in cash and 2 great Cashion Rods Fogleman on lt., Perkins on rt.
After the weighin all team were treated to ‘Decky’s Famous BBQ
Sandwiches and Drinks! I hope all of you had as much fun as I did on this ‘EOY’ trail and hope to see you in 2019!

Just 45 fish were weighed in for a total of 119 pounds for an average of 2.65 lbs. each. Most of the fish were caught on Spinnerbaits, Carolina rigs, Jig combos and Crankbaits in 4 to 8′ of water off grass flats and creek channels. The bite was just plain bad. The previous day heavy rains and cold front just put’em down.
