PIEDMONT BASS CLASSICS $10,000 SPRING TEAM BASS TRAIL QUALIFIER #6 RESULTS
Saturday May 9th, 2015 ~ Jordan Lake ~ Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp

[print_link]

Even with the threat of high winds and rain, 67 teams came to fish the PBC Qualifer #6 at Jordan Lake. Temps in  the am were around 67 and up to about 74 in the afternoon. The wind today was 5 to 10 in the am with some steady
15 to 20 mph winds the rest of the time. Water temps were anywhere from 71 to 79 depending on where they  fished. Most of the teams said the bite was pretty shallow and most were targeting grassy areas in 2 to 4 feet.

Keith Deal & Ricky Kenworthy won their 1st ever PBC big trail event (and they’ve been trying for a long time) with  5 bass weighing 22.50 lbs. and took home $1,286 for 1st, $924 for 1st Place big fish (7.00 lbs.) & $945 for the 1st  place TWT for a total of $3,155! Deal also won the Tow Boats US Member Bonus worth $50. Bubba Haywood &  Steve Goodwin took 2nd Place and 2nd TWT with 22.07 lbs. and took home a total of $1,209. 2nd Place big fish  (6.55 lbs.) worth $396 was won by the team of Dwight & Scott Hall.  241 fish were weighed in for a total of 698 pounds for an average of 2.90 lbs. each. The bite was fairly good with  most all of the teams catching some bass. Most of the fish were caught on plastics, jig combos and spinnerbaits.  The hot bait for they day seemed to be jigs.
I want to thank all the anglers that participated and all our sponsors that support this trail. Coming up May 16th will be the final
Cashion Fishing Rods Spring Team Bass Mini Trail Q#5 also at Jordan Lake. The final $10,000 Piedmont Bass Classics Spring Team Trail Q#7 will be at Falls Lake on May 30th.
